ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Lebanon, where I learned early on that success in work, life, and finance requires adaptability and resilience—lessons that shaped my global career.
In 1998, I moved to Canada, earning a Bachelor’s in Accounting (2001) and an MBA in Finance (2007) from the University of Ottawa. I navigated Canada’s job market for seven years on a limited work visa, building and selling my first finance business before transitioning into banking.
In 2008, I moved to Dubai, starting as a junior currency trader and working my way up to Managing Director at an international bank, leading FX Trading for the region and heading their Financial Markets business in the UAE.
Beyond the corporate world, I have:
Sat on boards, invested in businesses, and consulted in finance.
Made media appearances on Reuters, CNN, MBC, and Al Arabiya.
Taught Investments and Derivatives as a lecturer.
Conducted academic research at Durham University on trader performance & decision-making under uncertainty, earning a Master’s in Organizational Research.
